On 5 ft by 16 ft the drawing combines three different means of geometrical presentations to present different aspects of the „Japanisches Palais“, Dresden. The plan presentation shows the main facade, the floor plan and the extensive coloured „Sempersaal“ in a largest possible scale. All shown in axial relation to each other. The axes from the windows at the main facade for example are extended to illustrate the relation to the windows at the other end of the building.The two-point perspective drawing is related to the floor plan. It shows the cross vaults in the main entrance area.The isometric drawing shows the south and west wing. Here the goal was to display the encirclement around the courtyard and at the same time showing the location of the „Elbfügel“ in the building.
