The place is intended to be a creative outlet for artists, musicians and theatre ensembles. The usage requirements allow to split into two buildings, one for nightly retreat and one for public spaces. They both enhance the existing buildings by expanding axes and pathways. The Night Tower is elevated but shielded by a ledge, the Day House introduces itself in the castle’s daily life. The appearance is based on the model of the early castles, with their readable structure and regular facade. While smaller rooms dominate the Night Tower, the Day House captivates due to its double-storey rooms and loggias. The generated area between the two buildings is used by the various groups staying at the hostel. The panoramic, most western point serves as subject for painters and photographers, a greek theater provides a scene for theatre performances and the natural terrace poses a site for musical performances.
